So why did I want to become a writer? I suppose all I could really say was that I was the child who enjoyed writing stories at school. Simple as that. I find it easy to come up with ideas and characters. It doesn’t take me long. I might be going along in the car and pass an old building. I might see someone and think I’d like to murder you. (Hypothetically of course. I’m not actually a murderer in my spare time), or an idea might just pop into my head as the last one just has. I’m always very careful to research the situation that I put my characters in to make sure that I make things as acurate as possible. As long time ago, someone asked me if when I wake up in the middle of the night, I chat to my characters and ask them which way I want their story to go. I thought they were just making an idiot of me. Well guess what – I’m happy to confess that I do !
So what else about me? I was born and brought up in London, where I still live. All my family are from London. In fact I still live three doors away from the house I grew up in. I have one son, who is a London Tour Guide, a Freeman of the City of London and a member of the Worshipful Company of Educators.
